On Wednesday, we received the ruling we had been dreading — one that goes against the values of equality, dignity, and justice that we hold dear. While the decision was disheartening, what followed has been nothing short of inspiring.
Across the UK, we have witnessed an incredible wave of protest, solidarity, and resistance. From major cities to smaller towns, people have come together in their thousands to make their voices heard — standing up for what is right, refusing to be silent, and showing the world that we will not back down.
Pride in Labour is incredibly proud to have played a part in this historic moment. We were one of the first organisations to help plan the demonstration in London, and seeing so many of our members, friends, and allies in the streets — united, passionate, and determined — was profoundly moving.
To every single person who turned up to a protest, marched with us, or stood in solidarity wherever you were: thank you. Your courage, strength, and commitment remind us why we do this work. We are prouder than ever to stand with you.
To all MPs, MSs, MSPs, MLAs and Councillors — no matter your political affiliation — this is your moment.
Listen to us. Help us. Be the ally we need in our parliaments. History will remember you — let it be for the right reason.
Together, we will keep fighting. Together, we are powerful. And together, we will win.
