Help us monitor LGBTQ+ content restrictions online

On the 25th of July 2025, the Online Safety Act (2023) came into full force - a sweeping piece of legislation designed, in the government's words, to make the internet "safer". Introduced by the Conservatives and granted Royal Assent in 2023, the law has only just now come into effect.
Since then, we've heard concerning rumours that LGBTQ+ support websites, forums, educational resources, and community spaces are being blocked or geoblocked in the UK. While these claims remain unconfirmed, the fact that people are reporting them at all is alarming.
That's why Pride in Labour is launching a monitoring form to track this. We're asking LGBTQ+ people, allies, tech workers, educators - anyone who has noticed a website becoming suddenly inaccessible or restricted in the UK - to report it to us.
We're particularly interested in:
LGBTQ+ community forums that no longer load in the UK
Discord servers and Reddit forums that are being restricted in any way
Youth or sexual health websites that now require age verification
Queer support platforms that have shut down or geoblocked UK users
Any error messages, platform statements, or moderation decisions that affect the access to LGBTQ+ resources
Share the form. Report what you see.
