On the 19th of April, over 20,000 people marched through Central London in a display of solidarity and resistance. The protest came in response to the Supreme Court's recent ruling and the growing rollback of trans rights across the United Kingdom.
In light of these developments, Pride in Labour has launched an open letter addressed to Keir Starmer. We are calling on him to meet with trans activists and to hear our community's urgent concerns - particularly around the recent guidance issued by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), which threatens to continue the erosion of trans rights.
Whether you are trans or an ally, a member of the Labour Party or another political group, your signature matters. Now is the time to speak up. Now is the time to show that we will not be silent in the face of injustice.
Trans rights are human rights. Let's stand together - because equality is not negotiable. We must force the government to listen.
