Our Work

Tell Us Your MPs Response

We are collating responses from MPs on trans rights so we can identify where we need to focus more attention.

Open Letter to Keir Starmer

Our open letter sent a message that trans voices matter, that their rights must be protected, and that decisions about their lives should never be made without them at the table.

Trans Liberation Demo in London

We, along with many other organisations, came together to protest the Supreme Court and the government on their recent actions which have significant consequences for trans people.

Our First Annual General Meeting

In February 2025, we hosted our first ever Annual General Meeting where we also elected our 2nd Executive Committee.

Cllr. Laurie Burton Statement

In September 2024, a Labour Councillor in Southend made deeply transphobic remarks on social media. We called it out.

Labour Conference 2024

We did some work at the Labour Conference in Liverpool, and our co-chair Avery spoke at a Labour for Trans Right demo outside the Conference centre.

Our First Executive Committee

On Sunday the 28th of July 2024, Pride in Labour elected its first ever Executive Committee.

Puberty Blocker Ban Statement

The first key action for us was to call for the ban on puberty blockers to be lifted. This statement acted as a springboard for our movement.

The Launch of Pride in Labour

In July 2024, Pride in Labour was born in response to failures by the Labour Party and the silence from LGBT+ Labour.
